Our third day and final day staying in Los Angeles.
Today will be our chill day, just exploring the downtown area, a little break from the hustle and bustle touristing around the city.
First Stop: Bottega Louie
Have you seen the pictures of this place? Wow. Our time at Bottega Louie was phenomenal. I felt like I have traveled into a Parisian pattiserie upon stepping foot in here.
The interior was bright, clean, and spacious, the marble flooring and gold accents provide a modern yet elegant atmosphere.
The restaurant/café is seperated into two, the café at the front consists of the sweets counter, an open bar, and a merchandise area; the restaurant at the back contains an open kitchen. One of the things they are most famous for are their colourful macarons. Thus there were many macaron tree decorations present at each corner of the restaurant. The colours vary from time to time, when we visited, it was a beautiful combination of red, pink, white, and gold ♥
We had a window seat and some nice sunshine which means... selfie time HAHAH. But lets not spam you guys with those. So after some hard decisions, we ordered soup and pizza to share, and of course leaving enough space for dessert!~
The soup was very refreshing and a nice pairing along with the pizza! Also this rack for the pizza is genius, makes room for other things, but I was so scared I will accidently fling my arms around and knock it off... I mean, look at how skinny those legs are.
After stuffing our faces with food, its time to stuff our faces with more food! The dessert menu only offered a few choices so we asked our server if we could choose from the selection in the front LOL, he said yes.
Just look at that! Of course, us two, having slight decision problems took FOREVER to pick the one. In the end I settled with the "Snowman" religieuse and Cand had two éclairs, espresso and vanilla.
They are too pretty to eat!! We dined here for almost three hours lol... The table beside us was probably judging us, two girls finishing a whole pizza, a bowl of soup, then ordering desserts :l
But that won't stop us foodies! Before leaving, we each bought a box of macarons to go, cant forget about them little pastries ;)
Even the packaging was adorable, I have no more words. Instead of the customer telling them your orders one by one, they handed out a checklist for the macarons, and all you have to do is check off the flavours and quantities you would like to purchase and hand it to the clerk. Pretty interesting.
They offer a new featured flavour* each month along with more than ten regular flavours to choose from. I did my research beforehand so I've already decided months before haha. In my box of five were: champagne rose*, espresso, earl grey, mango, and pistachio.
keep scrolling for the macaron reveal!

Second Stop: Los Angeles Public Library
Finally leaving Bottega Louie, we spent a little too much time there, we made our way to the Los Angeles Public Library. For what you may ask, to read books? Haha well what else can there be, take pictures of course! As an avid Pinterest user, this and the next few destinations were planned from seeing the beautiful pictures pinned and shared on the site.
This room seemed more like the interior of a museum not a library, it was oddly quiet.. and empty, even though it is a public library. But all is well when taking photos! I pretty much blended in with the Christmas tree :l

Third Stop: The Last Bookstore
I will save the intro and get to the point lol.
Highlight = Book Tunnel!
I really recommend this place for book lovers, it is very different from any ordinary bookstore, (hence its name "The Last Bookstore"), the last and only bookstore you will want to visit? idk. Apart from the unique use of books, the shop is quite large in size, for sure one can find their perfect book.
Then we visited two other destinations: the Grand Central Market and Bradbury Building. We hung around for awhile and headed to our next and last stop in downtown la.

Fourth Stop: Cafe Demitasse
We took a short bus ride to this cafe situated in Little Tokyo. Cafe Demitasse has a few locations around Los Angeles and offers a wide variety of beverages. At the counter we saw this creative and cute approach of labeling a tips jar lol.
Still quite full, I ordered a lavender hot chocolate. Sounds amazing right? It looks amazing as well! The hot chocolate was thick but very smooth, comes with a torched marshmallow, it was a tad bit sweet even for me, best to drink with some water or light food on the side.
you made it! look at the hot chocolate with them macarons
Oh hello there!
Finally it was time to leave and hop on an uber to... ANAHEIM, if you know what that means ;D

Last Stop: Anaheim Disneyland
Unfortunately, we got caught up in rush hour, and LA rush hour is horrible omg. So this is were all the people were during this time... on the highway lol. I was amazed at the amount of people there was on the local subways during anytime of the day. In the end, it took us around two and a half hours to arrive at the hotel we're staying near the resort.
One funny thing we found out when we're getting freshened up to leave for a pre-shopping trip in downtown Disney was for the entire day, we were wearing the exact same shirt. We did not plan it nor did I even know she had the same shirt as me. LOL crazy right?
After that little episode, we are out again to Downtown Disney!!
I will leave all the Disney goodness for the next post, this entry is getting a little too long haha. Instead I shall just insert a few more pictures :D
P.S. I found these GIGANTIC Tsum Tsums at the Disney store near Hollywood walk of fame, seeing I couldn't have brought them home I didn't bother asking for the price. & I REGRET qq
They didn't have them either at any store in Disneyland, so if you know anything plz hit me up! I will be #forevergracious lol.
as you can see, I am very happy to be hugging one lool
