Part of our graduation trip? After our exams, we decided to partake on a mini road trip around Vancouver Island!
Victoria -> Coombs -> Nanaimo -> Victoria
We were super stoked, the weather was pretty nice, it was a perfect day for our road trip.
At around 9am we left for Coombs, a popular tourist destination half an hour away from Nanaimo.
excited~
I tried to vlog on the car on the way there, just some singing clips and such...
BUT giant fail here lol ==
I used a selfie stick for extended arm length, but I plugged in the earphone cord, thus no sound was recorded in...
How sad was that, & stupid :l
Welp, now I know and hopefully next time I will remember (sigh..

First Stop: Coombs - Goats on Roof Old Country Market
I have been craving their homemade cheese loaves for the longest time ever since we were planning this trip, finally we are here!!
As you can tell from the name, the Old Country Market has goats on the roof... get it haha.
But sadly, we didn't see any roaming around on the roof this time :(
no sign of goats...
It was around lunch time when we arrived so we opted for some food first. Since the sun was out, we chose to sit on the patio with a view of the roof, where there should be goats (where are they?) slightly disappointed...
I ordered a bowl of seafood chowder and a side of caprese salad. They gave me a piece of bread to dip in my soup, but I thought the cheese loaf would taste even better with it... so I bought one and picked at it while I drank the soup LOL.
w/ Connie & happy with my bread :D
After lunch, we took a stroll around the market & guess what I found?
Chester the Chubby Chicken yo! LOL
It's so cute? The eyes are wonky but idk why I really like it, almost wanted to take it home.
(my mom would probably kill me though..)
We also took some pictures outside, there was a field of statues, very weird but I guess perfect for photos haha.
my friends said "poor turtles" haha
Cand the driver
It became pretty hot, so we got some ice cream from Billy Gruff's Creamery. Everyone had one on their hands, it was extremely popular!
from left to right : root beer | moonshine? | orange cream
Then on the road again!

Second Stop: Nanaimo
Sorry I really tried lol :l
Welcome to Nanaimo the harbour city!
I don't know if it's just us or what, there seems to be no such thing as a downtown Nanaimo? Nevertheless, we decided it would be nice to just walk along the harbour.
Parking was free for the first 3 hours... like what? how amazing is that HAHA.
The view was so nice! the water served as a mirror, reflecting the clouds and the blue sky.
like a piece of art :)
Of course, per usual, photo session in progress...
seagulls everywhere...
group photo!
Although I'm already this far into the post, let's do an ootd anyways LOL.
I've been waiting to wear shorts for quite awhile & today's the chance!
Also the kiwi top, been loving it lately ♥
Top: Forever 21
Bottom: Forever 21
Shoes: Taiwan
Bag: Plenty
Accessories: Sunglasses (Forever 21)
Looking at this list, I really sport Forever 21 lol...
Thank you Candice for making my legs look extraaa long and skinny HAHA :D
There was not much to do after that, so we decided to head back to Victoria for dinner.

Last Stop: Back to Victoria / Glo
At what I call the "New World" (新世界) aka by the upper harbour, we had dinner at Glo Restaurant & Lounge.
The first time I came here I fell in love with their patio. Comfy chairs, fairy lights, palm trees, and a water view, it was the whole package. Unfortunately the wait was too long last time, we dined inside.
This time there was no wait, the hostess showed us to a table on the patio!!
Cheers to finishing our undergrad!
I ordered a peach bellini, almost every table had one, absolutely delicious... and massive too, compared to Cand's margarita on the right.
half way through dinner, the sun was setting, and it was the most beautiful sight ever.
The sky was pink, orange, and yellow...
Colours like love is in the air ♥
hahaha.
We took a bunch of pictures of the sky, the waters, and the restaurant patio itself.
It was short, but a fun day trip around Vancouver Island. I hope to have a road trip with these guys again someday!
& as well I hope I will see you again soon in another Travelogue!
