[Seoul] Line Friends Store Itaewon

The famous Line social app has opened merchandise stores and cafes all over the world. The largest flagship store is located in Itaewon, Korea. This was the place I was most looking forward to visit on our trip. Three stories high and a full functioning cafe on the top floor, this is definitely a spot not to be missed if traveling in the area!

As you enter the store, customers will be greeted by a 3.3m tall Brown doll sitting in the middle of the shop. Being quite the attraction, be prepared for a line up if you want to take a photo with him.

This store opens at 11:30am so we arrived early hoping to avoid the crowds, but there was still a few people surrounding the famous bear when we passed by.

Right beside him is a model of his house and cute little Edward hanging on a pole lol.

The first floor is mainly gadget goods, and the cashier section.

Now lets move up to the second floor!

Up the flight of stairs is Sally and Cony's room :)

Now if only I could take a look inside...

These balloons were adorable! But I don't think they sell them in the store :(

Even though the Sally here is the same height as Brown on the first floor, in comparison she's not as popular with the crowds.

Though that just means more time for me ♥

On the stairs leading to the third floor is a better view of Cony's room.

The ladder in here leads up to Moon's room in the attic? busy star gazing I see.

The third floor is where the Line Friends Cafe is situated.

So from here you can see our main focus here is just to take pictures haha.

But wait there's still an exciting cafe waiting for us!

Line Friends Cafe

Not every single Line Friends store is equipped with a cafe so make sure to double check on their site before heading over!

Decor

Since this is a character cafe, it is fair to say this place is decked out with Line Friends dolls and decorations. Based throughout the dining area, you won't be able to miss the opportunity to dine with one!

A few themes are displayed here, from Moon's burger joint, Sally's kitchen to Brown's distillery.

Food

Another reason we visited the store right at its opening time is for the menu items they offer in the cafe.

Other than drinks and desserts they also serve breakfast and lunch menus.

With experience from other character theme cafes selling out early we fled to the cafe section first when we arrived.

Unfortunately when we were ordering, the sign states these were SOLD OUT?!

How can it be, we have no idea. Though the disappointment is real. ( I want the burger and the pancakes 😭😭😭)

Nevertheless, we made our orders from the items that are available.

Coffee

Hot beverages come in these character disposable cups. We only got Brown and Sally, so I'm not sure if they come in other character designs.

Brown can also be found on the stir sticks!

Chocolate Milk

I'm not a coffee drinker so I ordered a chocolate milk. I loved how they packaged it in a glass milk bottle, also serves as a nice souvenir when finished!

Though I didn't end up keeping it, I didn't want the extra weight on me for the whole day.

Sally bagels

Fries

just fries. lightly seasoned fries. because why not :D

Plus it is served in the fryer basket.

Brown Chocolate Mousse Cake

The epitome of character cafes. LOL

A Brown shaped chocolate mousse cake the size of my hand.

It was quite good, smooth and rich just how I like it. They sell it in a small box, can be a great gift or taken home for dessert.

Brown Vanilla Roll Cake

Vanilla roll cake filled with lots and lots of whipped cream.

Character Macarons

These macarons are available in different box sizes and can be bought individually as well.

For an unknown reason I forgot to buy them on my way out so not sure how the taste would be :L

I really wanted this Brown night light, but after seeing the price tag... mhm.

The cashier is on the first floor beside Brown's room.

El Cube

This is a new shopping mall situated in the university neighborhood of Hongdae.

Young fashion and makeup brands are situated in here, as well as a small Line Friends store on the ground floor.

The main reason for visiting here after the plenty of time at their biggest store in Itaewon is ....

The only store with their new released character.

Meet Choco, Brown's little sister!

If you're determined like me to meet every one in the Line Friends family then make sure to come to El Cube haha.

The other stores situated in this mall are also great to shop around, brands such as memebox, 3CE, Gentle Monster &etc. So that's more of a reason to check it out!
