Korea 2016 - Day 3 & 4

2016/08/26

The next two days are typically just food tour and shopping around the area. So I compiled them together with detail posts for some special locations below.

*

First Stop: Sinseon Seolnongtang

Before our shopping spree in Myeongdong we stopped by Sinseon Seolnongtang for a quick breakfast/lunch to start the day off.

it was around 11:30 and the restaurant was already packed with quite a line waiting outside!

The experience was heavenly and nothing close to what I imagined, please click here for a detailed post.

*

Second Stop: Remicone

Our next stop is the one and only Remicone. Best known for this thunder cloud soft serve. Popular all over instagram, and since we are shopping in the area, we've planed to visit this place for a try.

Last Stop: Korean BBQ

After some more shopping, we arrived at a Korean BBQ place for dinner exhausted and hungry.

The great thing about Korean BBQ places is the service for sure, the restaurant makes sure to cook your meat until it's tender and ready in a matter of minutes. Perfect for our hungry stomachs!

MEAT!

bibimbap

& of course my favourite seafood pajeon

We stopped by the convenience store on our way home. Bought the famous honey butter chips, the Korea limited butter caramel Pringles, and too very tasty looking puddings.

2016/08/27

The last day of our little trip, cannot believe, these past four days just flew by!

First Stop: Line Store

We got up nice and early and headed to the Line store flagship location in Itaewon.

The store is three stories high, it is easy to say we spent a solid 3 hours here LOL.

They also have a character theme cafe on the third floor.

For a detailed post of the store and cafe please click here!

Second Stop: Aboong

Aboong is fusion dessert of a Japanese taiyaki and soft serve ice cream.

This has been on my radar for quite sometime, and I finally got a chance to try this out!

The taiyaki has custard cream near the tail, with a filling of soft serve ice cream, topped with chocolate syrup and fruit fondue.

Imo, the milk yogurt flavour suits the taiyaki better, but overall they both taste great! Just make sure to finish it fast before they start melting!

Third Stop: Seoga & Cook

After doing some shopping at Lotte supermarket, it was around dinner time, so we dropped by Seoga & Cook since it was near the area.

We have four people in total, so we decided to each order a plate and share everything.

I got the seafood oyster pasta, which looked delicious. BUT, incredibly spicy. Immediately dissapointed since I cannot take spice very well and the menu didn't say anything about it being spicy : (

We also ordered a steak and salad plate, and another person and I shared because we both don't really eat spicy foods. The steak was pretty well done and the salad serves great as a palette cleanser.

I probably won't visit again, but if i do, definitely will have to check with the waitress if anything is spicy...

*

Last Stop: Olive Young

Last stop on our last day in Korea is Olive Young!

Olive Young is a large drugstore? in Korea that carries products from many brands.

The store we visited is the one situated in Myeongdong with two full floors of beauty products, talk about heaven for any makeup/beauty junkie haha! It was already around 8pm when we arrived and this shop was PACKED. The checkout line spanned from the front of the store to the end of the store...

***

Last but not least, when in Korea, one must have some fried chicken!

We stopped by a fried chicken store and grabbed take out to eat back to our hotel to end the day.
